Albert Einstein - March 14th, 1879 - April 18th, 1955

Einstein was born in Ulm, Kingdom of Wurttemburg, German Empire. His family later moved to Munich, and then to Italy. Einstein entered the Swiss Federal Polytechnic school in Zurich in 1896. Einstein received his diploma and Swiss citizenship in 1901. In 1903, Einstein married Mileva Maric and had a daughter and two sons, thought their marriage was dissolved in 1919. In the same year, Einstein married his cousin, Elsa Lowenthal, who died in 1936. In 1905, Einstein received his doctor's degree. Einstein was appointed Privatdozent in Berne in 1908. One year later he became Professor Extraordinary at Zurich. In 1911 Einstein became Professor of Theoretical Physics at Prague. He became a German citizen in 1914 and lived in Berlin until 1933 when he moved to America for political reasons. Einstein became a professor of Theoretical Physics at Princeton. He gained United States citizenship in 1940.

After the second World War, Einstein was a main figure in the World Government Movement, and was offered the position of president in Israel, though he declined and instead established the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Albert Einstein made many important discoveries in the world of science, math, and physics. He explained the Brownian movement of molecules. Einstein's observations laid the foundation of the photon theory of light. He published a paper on the general theory of relativity. Einstein made countless other contributions to the world, and even after his retirement he continued to work on the majority of physics.

Mr. Einstein received honorary doctorate degrees in science, medicine, and philosophy from all over Europe and America. He received many other honors and medals for his brilliant work.

Albert Einstein died on April 18th, 1955 in Princeton, New Jersey.
